Default Do or not to do an NBME

Guys i am in a dilemma my exam is within few days.........i gave two UWSA
UWSA 1 predicted 238 and after revising my weak areas within one day UWSA 2 predicted 252. The thing is i previously gave NBME 7 2 months back which predicted 217.The problem lies in the fact that i corrected 80% of the questions right to get that score.I feel that is the maximum number of questions i can do right. So if i again do an NBME i will still score around that.
So is it better to NBME 11,12 OR SHOULD I do it offline and then revise the questions which i got wrong and then go and give the exam ?
Giving an online NBME wastes a whole day with the fruit of score prediction and you learn nothing.
Actually i am still very much confused
And can anyone guide me what is the predictive value of UWSA.........
Actually i want to keep myself boosted before my exam coz i feel saturated and low NBME score will harm my confidence:sorry:

And sorry hitman and HAga i wasnt regular on those discussion threads was busy in these self assessment forms.....hoping you wont mind.

Thanks a lot

Hi, Jinni!

Congrats on the great score!

I understand how you feel. I'll also be deathly scared of an nbme (confidence-wise) when my exam is so near...

There's another upside though: taking the nbme will warm you up for the real test. I mean it still does simulate the exam better than anything. Just think of it as "training" or stamina-building.

If you still have weak areas you can think of that is crucial that you review then don't take another nbme and use the time to work on that area. But if you feel that you have done everything or nothing is grossly weak, take an nbme as "test preparation". I haven't taken the exam yet but I can imagine that might help on the exam day.

That's just my humble opinion.

Good luck! Wish you all the best!

I agree with this!!
If I were you I will take it.. There's a good % in your brain that thinks you should take the NBME which is why you posted this.. If you keep thinking about it till the day before the exam and not take it.. You might regret it later... Don't think of it in a negative way.. Think positive and take it... It's better to take the NBME and estimate your score and if you are week in certain areas you can fix it than making a mistake on the actual exam. You still have a chance... And you might learn some random new things while you are taking the exam...
However, it is up to you to make the decision on whether you still want to take it or not. But those are some of the reasons why I might do it if were you...
Good luck!!
