Zygote Neuroectoderm, neural plate, neural pores, neural crest, neural tube!

Neuroectoderm, neural plate, neural pores, neural crest, neural tube

This is probably gonna sound silly but...what the hell is the difference between all of these terms?!?!
I just need a general idea to get it thats all!

Post Neuroectoderm

It just helps to understand the development and the congenital anomalies
Neural plate is the part of neuroectoderm which later forms the neural tube and neural crest cells
Neural crest cells are the cells at the origin of the invagination of the neural plate which when it closes and forms a tube separately form the ganglia, schwann cells the pia and arachnoid and the chromaffin cells and the parafollicular cells of thyroid gland.tube formed from the neural plate invagination and closure,
Neural pores the open ends of the neural tube close at 4 weeks to form a closed CNS
Neural

i will try my best to explain.

Imagine At week 3- u have formation of gastrulation (all the 3 layers) ectoderm, meso, endoderm.

after this forms.

on the surface of ectoderm, 1st there will be a Neural PIT (imagine as a small hole aka pit) this pit forms almost a little infront than the end of the ectoderm and then it goes deep inside (invaginates) now that pit is become big so now its Neural PORE.

now from the N.Pore, think of it u drawing a LINE from the N.PORE (point A) and draw a Horizontal line all the way to Point B)

____ _nuroectoderm_ ________________ (ectoderm)
-----A___________________B-----
___________________________________________(mesode rm)

This line(aka neural plate) forms just below the ectoderm.

So from the point A to B , the lenght of ectoderm this line(aka neural plate) covers is called neuroectoderm above it.

now look at the small dash before point A and after pt B
those are your remaining part of the neral plate they form your neural crest cells.

this neural plate forms a tube and now called neural tube.

this tube has 2 open ends (obviously) those are called neural pores.

i hope this helped.
