Currently I am in 2nd year of med school. I am interested in giving usmle.
1)What's the best time to give the attempt for step 1 in 3rd year or internship?
2)how much does it cost for the whole mle thing?
3) is Kaplan NOtes and uworld fine enough?

Hey Mle,

The best time to give usmle step 1 is after you had enough exposure to the subjects included plus after seeing cases in clinical postings. In Usmle steps its more about applying the concepts. Kaplan lecture notes and videos are for learning the basics of the concepts and uworld questions as both an assessing and learning tool. First aid is another book which is a last minute resource along with uworld which should be followed before the exam! Hope this helps!
