What is the rationale behind using calcium channels blockers like verapamil for migraine prophylaxis?

I did read that explanation but it made no sense.
Serotonin does cause vasoconstriction. In migraine there is vasodilation which is serotonin agonists like triptans are given as treatment.
So giving a serotonin antagonist would be counterproductive.
