Default left atrial pressure

I just cant understand why there is transient increase in Left atrial pressure in isovolumetric relaxation and rapid ejection phase of cardiac cycle??

Default Answer :)

I think because in rapid ventricular ejection phase the atrial filling begin and this will cause an increase in the atrial pressure.

in the isovolumetric relaxation stage(refer to the pressure volume loop curve)...u can see both mitral and aortic valve closed...mitral valve close just at the tip of the line where isovolumetric relaxation line starts and aortic valve opens at the other end of that line..so in between these two points the pressure in left atrium and ventricle are the same and we know venriclur pressure generally is a few units higher than atrial pressure(9mm hg in lft ventricle rest pressure compared to 2mm hg of atrial relx presssure..well these values can be wrong..please do verify them a bit)...so in iso volumetric stage we see increase in lft atrial pressure increase..and the last rapid filling phase it has to pump out blood to the lft venrticle so pressure is increased..it corresponds with P wave of ecg too
