NBME and the percentage of correct quetions

well i have something to ask...if one does an offline NMBE say NBME( idid a few days back) does the score in NBME corelate with how many qs u have marked right..i mean the percentage of qs marked right bcoz i saw the qs in block 1 were at least comparatively easier than in block 3..so these points..are they the same for each qs..the NBME chart corelator just puts blatntly that its just according to percentage of qs marked right...am a bit confused..can anyone please clarify this..

i dont think the 3 digit score is simply derived from %correct.

they have some crazy top secret algorithm that they use to determine the 3 digit score.

however people on the net have derived their own approximations using various formulae.
one such that i've heard is #correct x 1.4
but i wouldnt count on this

if you want to see where you are, what 3digit score you are at, then do it online.
offline nbmes should be used as just extra questions for practice, not as approximation of your progress or readiness for step.
