Default PLEASE Critique My Study Plan!

Hi all,

I'm writing step one in September 2012, which leaves me 6.5 months to prepare. I'm an IMG in my 2nd year and will have classes and clinical placements until mid-june. My first language is English, so that won't set me back at all.
My grades so far:
Not great, not terrible. I've never failed a subject but never learned it to the point where I'd retain the information properly.
Boards materials I have:
DIT videos, FA, Goljan text and audio, microbiology MRS, BRS physiology, Kaplan and UW Qbank.
My plan:
March and April- DIT videos. I want to do them properly, taking time at the end of each subject to do ~200 Kaplan Qbank questions on the content I just learned.
May- School Exams. I'll integrate UW into my study, doing as many Qbank MCQs as possible. Hopefully I'll manage 1500 over the month.
June- I think I have a fairly easy rotation this month, with a relatively minor exam at the end. I should be able to get through DIT again fully with about another 2000 questions over the month.

That's as far ahead as I've planned. I'll have 11 weeks left as of July 1st, and I figure I'll be in a better position to plan out my study when that date arrives.
I'm aiming for a score of 230 and would appreciate any feedback on whether repeatedly abusing DIT, Qbanks and FA will get me there. Also, suggestions for the 11 weeks in Summer?

Thanks in advance,

NAC

You can do it.. You have a lot of time... We all rush through the material in Med school... So don't wry abt not retaining anything.. It will come back to you when you start studying...
Your Plan seems fine... But Are you not doing Kaplan LN/videos?
Do you have DIT 2011 videos?

@NAC:

Since you're a medical student, you might want to check the TAUS method. Just use the search function or look into the step 1 study plans tag at the bottom of the main page of the forum.

I can get the Kaplan videos so might use them over the Summer. Do they really offer much over the DIT ones? And I only have DIT 2010.

@d_wiqed: I just downloaded the Taus method. It looks pretty comprehensive and he says it only takes 10 weeks. Could be a good choice for the Summer. At the very least, I'll print the subject plan so I know I'm covering everything with DIT.

I have been hearing Kaplan LN (do it first along with FA) + FA + Uworld.. From many students in this forum and my other friends.. Since I am doing Kaplan LN and Q bank I watch Kaplan videos for those chapters I have difficulty with.. However, lately I am starting to hear DIT (do it with FA towards the end). I have never watched DIT videos before... I am just trying to get a hold of DIT 2011 since I have FA 2011.

I have FA2011 too and the DIT2010 videos are perfect. There really is very little difference between the 2 editions so 98% of the time he's reading the same stuff. The pages numbers are off, but they're always off by about 3 pages, so you're never flicking randomly looking for the part he's talking about. Other than that the content on the page is the same.

Shameless bump. I could really use some feedback from people who have sat the exam.
