Question Zona Reticularis End Product

I really want to clear this up in my head so if anyone could correct me if I am wrong this:

zona reticularis you make only androstenedione and that is it. That androstenedione will go to the gonads and produce Testosterone. Is this correct?

Also the androstenedione in men (the one created by the adrenal) is of little use in making testosterone since the testis produce their own testosterone.

In female that adernal androstenedione is critical for a source of making estradiol. And the ovaries also produce their own androstenedione as well.

Is this correct, or am I missing anything or my concept is way wrong?
