Idea! Skipping the Exam Date

guys i have some doubts that i might not be ready for exam and i already extended once.....
if i wanna skip the date, shall i cancel first of just don't show up?

and will this be considered an attempt? and if not will it ever appear in my application in ERAS that i didn't show for my exam?

thanks

hey buddy dont know much on this topic , but know that if you attempt and leave it is written as a incomplete exam , dont know if it will be on your transcript if you skip the exam .....

so the safest part i feel is cancel the exam ......... so there is no chance of it showing on your report .....

the best thing is to call the ECFMG , not even the prometric centre becoz i felt they dont know much . tell them your problem and their reply is the only one you should trust ......

goodluck .....

I had the same problem your dealing with last week. I actually called ecfmg up, they said to cancel the date with prometric if you already have scheduled it. But if you haven't done the whole scheduling with the prometric and you wish not to write it you don;t have to show up for the exam. Apparently you don't have to do anything.

If you change the date within the last week the fee is around 200 dollars

One month prior to one week before your exam its 50 dollars

and if its over a month its free

(and if you have got an appointment with pro metric its 50 dollars also to cancel that)

Thanks!

How about if I haven't scheduled my exam yet, and I want to pick an exam date 2 weeks from now?

Is that ok or should there be like a one month allowance from my desired exam date?

For eligibility period extension? I think it's around $65 online. That's aside the rescheduling fees for prometric.

Default Ecfmg

just contacted ECFMG today, they told me i have to cancel my appointment with Prometric...and after the eligibility period ends....i will have to wait for two weeks before i can submit a new application....

i asked specifically about this being an attempt, he told me no, since u didn't show for an exam, how could it be an attempt!!! Thank God
