DNA NBME Concept - ERB-B2 versus BRCA Mutation!

I was wondering if a patient's history was given on breast cancer how can you tell if ERB-B2 mutation from BRCA mutation? I believe there was an NBME question on this, but I cannot find the exact question, but they did ask one where both were list an answer choice.
I believe there was a family history for breast cancer stated in stem.

From what we learned in class:

ERB-B2 is not genetically linked and can occur in anyone in the population
BRCA mutation is genetically linked.

Anyone else correct me if I am wrong..
