Guys i need to cancel my exam today, my exam date is tommorow, i know it has a fee, but i went to the prometric website and tried to change the date and i selected the new date and clicked on go, but it just doesn't seem to work, called prometric and they told me they don't change scheduales.
Anyone ?
This would be my second change, and i have 2 months left for any change.
if you have originally scheduled at a testing center, you may reschedule at a testing center. However, if your original booking is originally scheduled via web registration or Prometric contact center, you cannot reschedule at a testing center. You must reschedule or cancel via web registration system or Prometric contact center.
Because canceling was less than 5 days before the exam, acording to my prometric international zone, i have to pay 252 dollars
So people as an advice, if you are going to freak out before the exam, do it at least 1 week before, and you will only pay 50 bucks.
For any future similar situation.
Just call the number in your scheduling permit for prometric. Not the prometric where you are taking the exam, but the number under, scheduling or canceling appointment. You have to do it over the phone and have your credit card ready.
I think because of my international zone, i only had to pay 104 dollars, for the change, considering it was the day before the exam, im happy, because i was expecting to pay way way more, like 250-450. I called in the morning the first lady told me 250, now that i called to do the change, only 104.
So it's costing me 104 bucks for 3 more weeks of hard work
Talking about timing....
Don't worry...is best to take one step back...and pay for it, than taking chances with the test and if you fail or get less than your goal it would be waaay more expensive...
This is what I understood from the Prometric representative...
For future reference....
If due to unforeseen reason...
1. You want to change your testing date ONE day before you exam
You can cancel/change your testing date till 8 pm EST one day before your scheduled actual exam date. i.e. You have an exam on Wednesday at 9 am. You can cancel/change it by calling the prometric phone number posted on your website by 8 pm EST on Tuesday evening. And, pay the fee... is $104.00 USD for domestic U.S.A. and Canada, $252.00 USD for International Zone 1, $286.00 for International Zone 2, or $461.00 USD for International Zone 3.
OR
2. You decide to change it but it's after 8 EST the day before your actual scheduled exam date or midnight before your actual scheduled exam date or 2 minutes before your schedule time on your actual scheduled exam date
You will be consider a no show...it sounds bad, but, it's not...because there is no penalty beside the usual cancellation/rescheduling fee... You can cancel/change it by calling the prometric phone number posted on your website ..you still have to pay the fee... is $104.00 USD for domestic U.S.A. and Canada, $252.00 USD for International Zone 1, $286.00 for International Zone 2, or $461.00 USD for International Zone 3.
This is what posted on the prometric website...
North America The office is open Monday - Friday, 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time; closed on local holidays.
# 1-800-633-3926 is the number for "To schedule, reschedule, cancel and confirm appointments or for general testing information"
But I find that # 1-800-633-3926 number takes way too long for me to get in touch to a live representative.
So, try this number first #1- 800-853-6769 for "For any problems encountered during your experience with us"
Once you cancel it with them, they will have to transfer you to the Candidate Care representative...their number is 1-800-853-6769.
The Candidate Care representative will collect the late fee and he/she can also reschedule the new appointment for you.
If there is any update or anything...feel free to post it.
Hey man, i freaked out before the exam, so i decided to be more prepared at least from the First Aid point of view, so 2 weeks more. Nothing bad happened to me . Bad thing is that i had to reschedule step 1 and CS so, but it's better to be more confident before the exam.. Take care man, and good luck in the preparation.
So when are you giving it now buddy ??? Did you take a date ???
