Basically describing how will mutated oncogenes cause cancer. Out of all the options only A will cause more growth (ie. cancer)

I don't know how it works, but I mean if you look at the answers, then A is the only possible answer. They are testing if you know growth mechanisms. Out of all the answers, A is a growth mechanism.

There is always some cause for ARDS....either trauma, sepsis, shock, gastric aspiration...etc etc. Plus there is edema and then hylaline membrane and then fibrosis, too many things going on. They are just telling us that a normal individual is undergoing lung fibrosis. This is the sequale for idiopathic fibrosis. All the other answer choices will have different presentations.

no...because the blood won't get into the arterial system fast enough. During hemorrage the arterial side needs more blood to maintain BP. Keeping it in the venous side will lower BP. The only option that will increase blood flow through the body and increase BP is D

Even I picked PCT, but I looked into it and Mesangial cells are the repair cells of the kidney. It says this in Kaplan.

Women have a higher chance of getting UTI's because of 2 reasons...

1. Urethra in close proximation to the anus, so easier for bacteria (e.coli) to get into urethra.

2. Urethra is very close to vagina, so during intercourse bacteria can get into the urethra very easily.

So basically after sex, the woman can void urine and this will flush out and bacteria that gets entrance into the urethra during sex. Yes it's a very crude method but it works.
