the best thing you can do right now is pick out your weak areas, work on them and revise your uworld notes with FA.
Read the notes for 1-2 days, try some nbmes offline and again focus on your weak areas and improve them. i am doing the same. my exam is in 2 weeks.

Thumbs Up

Hello,

Don't give up! I agree with praru, work on your weak areas. However, re-asses yourself with an ONLINE NBME (not an offline, they are very inaccurate). Also, try to do as many questions as you can per day from UW. So for example, I used to do one block as soon as I woke up, then I would continue with my day revising FA. Before I went to bed I did another block. Couple days before the exam I did the 150 free question.

Don't be disheartened. Your almost there. Sprint in your studying during these last 10 days.

working on your weak areas is good and that's what i tried to do.

however you need to also work on your strong areas to reinforce them..

you need time. reassess your priorities and see if you can accept a score of less than 230.

even people with 230 step1 has having a hard time getting interviews.

if you get a 250 in step1, I would almost be certain you will get at least 1 interview.

think about it... 22000 IMG buy the eras token... but only 12000 will get interview invitations and join the match.

Scary numbers! but thats reality... The problem is she can't delay her exam to get a 250.

I had the same problem before. I used up all my PTOs for 2015 to study for step1 because at that time I could only study 30m to 1hr per day if I dont use a day off... So I could really not move my exam.

Everyone's situation is different. Just wanted to help my sharing my opinion & experience.

To be honest 202, is a very bad score.

Try your best in the 10 days and give an NBME online 1 or 2 days before exam.If it is still low, then it would be better to skip the exam, prepare thoroughly once again and give it..

I know 1000$ is a lot but think about the future also, it is better late than never.

good luck..

Thanks to you all.
I did some real soul searching and asked myself some tough questions. Is it better to get tired of reading and just get a mediocre grade or defer it and get something reasonable.I realised my eligibility date states 'january 2016'.I moved the exam till january.
Now just doing Uworld and first aid.All day every day.
keeping fingers crossed.
Thanks again
