Question Starting Step 1 Prep; Three Questions

Plz help me..am about to start my step1 prep but am a bit confused..
  1. Is Kaplan lecture notes is all that we need to do for preparation of step 1? don't we need any other book in addition to kaplan? especially for pathology because I believe its too short to cover the whole subject? wasn't Goljan necessary to add with kaplan?
  2. Is kalan pharmacology enough with respect to drug list n side effects? Because I have many more drugs than Kaplan has written in any of the class..
  3. I have heard lecture notes for 2010 are now available...but I have lecture notes of 2007.. so should I buy the new one now or there isn't much difference?

There's nothing enough for Step 1 preparation. You can continue reading and you will never finish. However, reading Kaplan Notes in addition to Goljan Rapid Review Pathology seems to be a good approach.

Yes, Kaplan Pharmacology Book is enough. They included the high yield topics.

In my opinion I think that getting the latest Kaplan Notes is always a good idea, not because there's tremendous updates in Basic Sciences within three years but because they change the "High Yield Focus" year after year to reflect the current exam style.
However, others might disagree with me. Read this
Kaplan Lecture Notes 2010

You can buy the New 2010 Version from Amazon
