Bacteria Staph aureus hospital outbreak!

Serious Staphylococcus aureus outbreak in nursery unit in local hospital. chief say all nurses should be cultured for S. aureus.
which test will most likely be used to match the isolate to those obtained from affected fetus?
a. agglutination with stain specific anti sera
b. bacteriophage sensitivity
c. coagulase
d. pattern of erythrocyte sensitivity of different hemolysin
e. sugar fermentation pattern

the answer was B bacteriophage sensitivity
but what does bacteriophage sensitivity really measure?

Since there is a sudden Staph A outbreak, it probably is because there is a more pathogenic form that came about.

More pathogenic forms of bacteria are created by Transduction via bacteriophage transfer.

So to match which one it is....they will have the same phage sensitivity as that is the specific phage that has caused the bacteria to become more pathogenic.
