Give erythropoietin to increase RBC production. Since increased RBC mass this will increase plasma volume which will increase BP.

Sorry...I meant Blood Volume not Plasma Volume, was typing in a hurry.

Blood volume is combination of both plasma volume and hematocrit. So by increasing hematocrit you increase the overall blood volume causing increased BP.

Cool

the drug is erythropoiten and the disease is diabetic nephropathy the mechanisms of hypertension in chronic renal failure patients with erythropoiten includes
1-increased hematocrit and erythrocyte mass
2-direct vasopressor effect
3-increse production and sensitivity to endogenous vasopressors
4-arterial remodeling and stimulation of vascular cellular growth factor
