3 years ago, Mr X had severe chest pain when he walked uphill in the cold weather or picked up some heavy bags. The pain disappeared after he rested for 15 min. He was diagnosed and treated with nitroglycerin. Now, he returns complaining that nitroglycerin works well when he takes it for an acute attack but that he is having frequent attacks now and would like something to prevent them. Which useful prophylaxis drug should be included?
a. Amyl nitrite
b. Diltiazem
c. Esmolol
d. Sublingual isosorbide dinitrate
e. sublingual nitroglycerin

Kindly put in some explanation.

Thanks!

its Prinzmetal's angina i guess so
Diltiazem a calcium channel blocker will prevent the coronary vasospasm and induce vasodilation relieving the symptoms of the patient

i hope so somebody gives u a better explanation if mine is insufficient
