Question Can I get Exemption from TOEFL?

Hi there, I'm planning to take step 1 and I already have IELTS band :7 so i was wondering that should I go for TOEFL first or in any case it can be exempted.

Thank you

I believe that you don't need the TOEFL for step 1. It is not a requirement...

As Dr. Mexito said.

TOEFL is not a requirement for ECFMG certification. Some Universities may like to see it if you don't have the CS exam (for elective purposes only).

Otherwise, you don't need it.

The Step 2 CS Exam has replace the TOEFL requirement over 10 years ago.
