Arrow NBME 12 question

Guys,
remember that question about smoker and his vocal cords?
It has to be in the 3d section.
I chosed the answer to be a polyp, because I could not see any glands defining adenocarcinoma or squamous pearls, defining a squamous carcinoma. But my answer is wrong. What is the correct answer?

There is no point of posting the number, because they are different with offline ones.

Vocal cord are the only structure in the larynx with squamous cell lining and so ulceration is a major hint for it to ........ any lesion asking for vocal cord is SCC usually .........

Yes SCC would be my second best answer...
But I never saw any pearls in there...

Though the lesion looks invasive, I thought its polyp cuz the pic on the right looks bumpy

I think that NBME 11 is tougher than NBME 12.

The answer to the the question is Squamous Cell Carcinoma!

This is what the real test will be like - we will face bunch of uncommon crap that we never saw before... I read that every nbme has 4-5 questions like that...
