Smile Toxin Producing Bacteria?

A 25-year-old female is brought to the emergency department with complaints of fever, malaise, nausea, and diarrhea. She is hypotensive and has a prominent maculopapular rash. She is currently in the middle of her menstrual period. Which of the following toxin-producing bacteria is most likely the cause of this patientís symptoms?


A. Escherichia coli
B. Pseudomonas aeruginosa

i think its staph aureus and shes suffering from toxic shock, because shes on her period, so she probably left her tampon in too long, so now its infected

yeah i agree. that's the first thing that came to my mind. every time i come across this scenario i immediately remember one of the episodes i saw on Dr. House.
