so i started with kaplan in august and ended up annotating extra pointts in fa.. that took 2.5 moths
In oct i started doing UW system wise and annotated it i fa too.. in the end there ws no space on fa so i wrote down uw points.. did uw twice by dec mid..so 2.5 months

real deal 245

THE EXAM DAY
it was cold December 31st 2015 morning..i had snacks and chocolates with me.. at the center things went smoothly. went for exam
block one was toughest around 14-15 behavioral and ethics questions.. i thought i lost my one shot at usmle.. took a break of 5 minutes and started nxt block it was fairly easy.. i was still panicking abt the 1 abysmal block.. time flew by and i had one more tough block 5 or 6 dont remember..two block wr easy and two wr hard.. 3 block wer medium..got out i thought i wont even make 230.. had to endure 15 days of crazy and result cameout 3 weeks later..
if any questions ask away!!

Wow. Cool score. I made 247 which is exactly my last nbme score. How competitive are scores above 240? I'm looking at the 2017 match.

Hey. Prepping for step 1 myself , firstly congrats on a pretty nice score.
Just wanted to ask how to prepare for the ethics cases ??
And approximately how many questions from genetics and biochem ? I have heard ethics and statistics are becoming a major chunk on the exam , is that true ?

Hi Congrats on ur score. I've a question. I'm in a fix between goljan and pathoma few say pathoma is better and few say Goljan is a must. Did you read Goljan at any time of your prep? or was it only pathoma from the beginning? thanks in advance.

Congratulations on your great score

I wanted to know how effective you found out dr najeeb lectures were ?
As they are real time consuming, did you annotate directly to fa from these videos or you made your own notes?
And do you recommend dr najeeb videos over kaplan lecture notes 2009/2010

Thanks and congrats once again

hi i wud say that najeeb lectures wer a great help in building concepts..i made my own notes didnot annotate najeeb into fa. i wud say najeeb's neuro is surely superior to kaplan but then again neuro asked in real exam is easy.. najeeb is for concept building on which u can do questions..
as for which is bettr kaplan or najeeb; well i didnt do either of them comletely soi cant comment on that. i wud suggest u do refr to najeeb for topics u dont understand intead of doing whole of najeeb videos.

Yes i am trying to do the same, listening to Dr Najeeb while driving or doing useless things like eating or watching tv, and just trying to make sense of the difficult concepts not trying to memorize anything from it.

I am in my 2nd week of study and have already started off with UW Qbank, doing qs for each physio section i finish and then read the explanations.
Is it too early for this or is it fine ?

Default Internship

Congrats on your great score Ridhima!

You mentioned that internship is keeping you busy. Could you tell me how you managed to do step 1 along with your internship? Did you take a break? Or, did you specifically get some postings altered like SPM during the preparation time?

I am in my internship and I want to know how to plan the study schedule.

It will be really helpful if you could point out how you had done yours.
