Default Booking the exam date

Can someone tell me about picking the exam date... My eligibility period is April-June. I still don't have the full mind to pick the exact date.. I have been thinking of taking it Mid-late May.. Lately, my studying process has been slow compared to the previous months.. So I am thinking of picking the date so that I keep up with my schedule... However, my question is.. If I were to change the date later (incase I don't feel ready) how does it work? What's the cost?

Hey Sukar,

My eligibility period is April-May-June as well. I am planning on writing my exam in mid-late may as well! In my opinion I am not picking a date till I am fully ready because if you go on the prometric website now and check seat availability, you can normally get dates for the next day or even next week! A lot of ppl cancel and postpone their exam so there is always availability. BUT if you go look for April or May .. you will HARDLY find any available dates lol

Well thats just my idea. I think its $65 to cancel your test date. If you do it before a month of your test date then I dont believe they charge you anything and you have to do it through the prometric website or you can call them!

Thanks for the reply. I am going to think about it then I guess.. I will see how it goes next week and then decide.. If i do book it for Mid-late april then I can cancel it without a charge in mid-late april.. By then I should know if I am ready or not for may.. Bz Last month I should be reviewing FA back and forth.

I am actually going over Kaplan LN and adding notes to FA right now. Since I didn't do that before (regret it). Hoping to finish that sometime in the first week of April. And then doing DIT along with FA. And uworld.. Plus some NBMEs..
Doing kaplan qbank on the side as well.. But as I mentioned my process slowed down.. so I didn't do the questions for the past few days.. Going to get back to that tom...

What's your plan?

Sounds good. My plan is pretty much the same! I am actually going over Pharm, Physio and path in Kaplan Lecture notes and planning on finishing that by April 5th. Then I want to do DIT along with Kaplan Qbank. I started doing Qbank now but its very slow because most of the time goes in reading. Also after DIT I am planning on taking an NBME ..hopefully on April 21st (*if I can start dit by 5th and finish by the 20th).

Also, I was wondering, I know a lot of ppl annotate their FA. I haven't done that really. I do have notes in it ... some from Kaplan Lecture Notes, some from UW, some random stuff here n there lol But I found it time consuming so I didnt do it. Do you think that's ok as long as I give KLN a good read and go over DIT after ?

Oh and I was also planning on doing Pathoma somewhere in between or after DIt .. but in April itself lol

That's nice.. Ur plan sounds just abt the same
Abt annotating FA.. Well I am a person who takes alot of notes.. Plus I like it when I take the notes rather than js memorizing something thats there. I am not a big fan of videos so if I do watch kaplan videos then I add notes to the LNs. And then when I am done with that chapter in Kaplan LN I go to FA and do it there.. I hated not annotating it in the beginning. I feel like I already forgot everything that I did in KLN before. I was trying to go over Pharm cardio the other day and I couldn't rmr any of the drugs.. I hate that I did pharm first from KLN and didn't do FA with it. And I know when it comes to April/May I wont have the time to go back to Kaplan. So I rather spend a little more time and add the notes now than sitting and worrying abt doing kaplan all over later. However, if you are good with js doing FA and Kaplan then u should js stick to ur plan.. Ppl are different. I am just not sure how DIT is going to be (js incase i start falling asleep) so I rather have these notes as my back up.. Lol!

I don't have pathoma (in my little book store ) and not sure how that is.. Plus I don't think I am going to have the time to do that. Already I am crying for time. Plus Golgian's RR seems to be pretty good. It covers everything.. So I am just going to stick to that..
