Question TPN Rash and Loss of hair!

A 47 year old female patient with Ulcerative Colitis underwent a subtotal colectomy 2 weeks ago and is unable to tolerate either a solid or liquid diet. She has been placed on a total parenteral nutrition. Over the last several days, she has developed a rash on her face and complains of patchy hair loss. Which of the following would explain her symptoms ?

A) Abundance of fatty acids
B) Abundance of lipids
C) Deficiency of ascorbic acid
D) Deficiency of zinc

Sorry for the first ans.it is zinc deficiency.porr wond healing,perioral rash and decreadult hair(Axilllary,facial and pubic).As you may know Zn is a cofactor for metalloenjymes
