They are a lot of versions, and they keep on actualising them... You should check out their official page.

At UMHS we have one NBME shelf per semester. There are two possible ways a shelf is administered. First, the NBME may send the school a collection of questions and the school would pick the questions. Another possibility is that the NBME may send a fixed set of questions. If the professor picks the questions, it would be best to study the material the professor covered as well as some past NBME questions. If the exam is fixed, do as many NBME questions as possible. I found the NBME question style quite different so you want to familiarize yourself with them. Past NBME questions seem to be a good study tool in preparing for a shelf. Good luck!

This is probably vague but I remember lesion problems, neurotransmitters in different disorders, a few pictures straight anatomy question. Professor gave us two subarachnoid hemorrhage questions, you should expect subdural/epidural questions. Cranial nerves, they like vision a lot, and innervations to the tongue, uvula, etc. Headaches (different types) and seizures (different types). I did well on the blocks so I wasn't too caught up with studying for the shelf, I wanted to see where I stand. I focused on the other subject more so for the finals. Hope this helps.
