Default time for the real deal or not?

I plan to take step 1 mid March.
UWsim 1 (12/2015): 252
UWsim 1 (12/2015): 253
NBME 16(01/2016) 232
Kaplan sim 1: 77%
NBME 15: 249

I am not sure if I am ready to go, as I aim for 245+ for the real deal. Even the most recent form 15 scored good, but there are many questions I wasn't 100% sure and just guessed correctly...Is form 15 of mine just a spike or real reflection of my preparation?? what do you guys think?

What would you do in the last 4 wks? going through FA 50 pages/day+1 block of UW marked/incorrect questions+ 2hrs of anki review? And when will you take form 17, a few wks before/ a few days before the real deal??

Thank you so much!!!

when did you take 15? your plan from here on out is good, you are on track to score well no doubt. i took form 17 about 10 days out from my exam, i would say take it no earlier than 2 weeks out. many people do take it few days out from their exam, pretty much to see where they stand. benefit of taking it earlier is to see areas of weakness and focus in on them in last few days.

thats the way how the exam goes, you will not be sure of every answer but you will have to make your best guess. keep in mind the real deal is on a curve fro a reason, the questions you are guessing on everyone is guessing on, you must get everything you know right and from there on out the amount you guess correctly will swing your score up or down based on your nbme range. btw nbme 15 is one of the harder forms imo so you may be pleasantly surprised when you take your next nbme. just stick to your plan and keep working hard, goodluck!

Your plan sounds solid and it looks like you have been working hard. My recommendation would be to not get lazy in the last 4 weeks before the exam and to keep studying every day.

Thank you so much!!

so you think it's not acceptable to take 1 day off every week in the last 4 wks? I am debating...

In regards to what you asked above, it will benefit you to take half a day or a full day off granted your really working hard the other 6 days. Burnout is real and you need to keep the fire going by chilling out once a week. I did it and it helped me stay focused. Forms 16/17 resemble the real deal. ull see qs with weird wording, get used to this as real deal is filled with tricky wording. Anatomy is a crap shoot, ur best bet is to learn whats in FA cold plus whatever u can cram from uw.
