Default Step 1 Scheduling after Extension

Hello guys
My eligibility period is ending on march 31st. Im not prepared for exam yet, I have already extended my eligibility period once. I dont want to take exam until and unless im confident about my performance. Has anyone has an idea about how I should proceed with the application now. Im planning to take step 1 by May/June. Should I call up ecfmg and inform that I wont be giving the step and will submit a fresh application after my eligibility period expires. And one more thing I did not take the test appointment with prometric centre.
Please your valuable comments will help me out.
Thanks

I think you just have to wait 3 weeks after your last date of elgibilty and then reapply and pay the fees 800 dollars i think and then wait another 3 or 4 weeks to get your ticket or confirmation number to apply for another date

if you do not think you are ready to take the test you should wait to take it until you are ready and confident that you will do well
