Drug Verapamil effects on nodal cells or ventricular cells?

Why does UW mention that it inhibits calcium influx via L type?
doesnt verpamil work majorly on nodal cells? not ventricular cells?
as a nodal anti arrhythmic (AV node where calcium channels are concentrated), why does it effect calcium induced calcium release?

so basically what i mean is that verapmil would increase PR interval but it doesnt really have any effect on ventricle cells,,so QT interval would remain same...any ideas?
