Thumbs Up Dr.Tao Le Step 1 Video

I came across this useful video by the author of First Aid - Dr. Tao Le.

He goes over a lot of the aspects involving Step 1 and gives you a lot of detail regarding how to go about studying and what to aim for.

Thanks for the informative video.
Sorry to hijack the thread but since i am expecting plenty of replies here, therefore i am asking.
I am med student, belong to Pakistan (Country) and really wish to practice medicine in the united states, but from what i have heard is that their is no any value given to international immigrants and if they even aced the step 1, they are deputed in the states which are under developed.

Being a Pakistani myself, I know that this is not the case. Many of my seniors have gotten into very competitive programs.

Compared to a fellowship in Pakistan? The two can't really be equated- the examinations of the FCPS are not as in depth as the USMLEs, however the issue is not that simple. The working conditions in the US are a lot better than in Pakistan. So, once you get in, completing your fellowship from the US is easier.

People are flocking to the US because of the quality of the training programs, and the potential scope after completing your training. I have noted that US trained doctors working in Pakistan are always paid better than Pakistani trained doctors.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, really appreciate the effort you put on writing and explaining the things to me.
So i assume this is the way to go,
I am a med student, 4th year and 7th Semester. Id most likely give my step 1 some time this year.
Any advice you would want to give me in particular to the pakistani conditions and method of learning?

Why don't you start a new thread, so others can weigh in as well.
