Hello everyone,
I'm preparing for USMLE step 1 early in the subject that I'm not doing quite well. I'm now using BRS physiology for the review and it seems like I need more comprehensive physiology problems to polish my knowledge, so any recommended books?

Kaplan videos are really good if you want to clarify your concepts. I would advise against using any other books because you do not want to get into more detail. In the start of the prep, everyone feels as if they are not learning in detail but with time you realise that you are not supposed to learn in that much detail. Best of luck!

i am curreently using BRS phys
It is good & puts everything in a very understandable way. It also repeats info even in the same chapter more than once . i started studying from it because a graduate who aced the step 1 recommended it as better than kaplan especially in neurophysiology. That's all

i feel if ur basics are not strong, u need to go thru live kaplan video lectures and physiology-KLN wud make a better companion with video lectures.. Otherwise BRS physiology is great..

I would recommend reading the same book but the actual textbook version (also by Linda Costanzo) which is not much bigger than the BRS but way more comprehensive.

Wow, I'm new here and I did not expect such a warm welcome...I'm really impressed that many people want to share me some helps!
Thank you everyone for your advice but what I really want is a physiology "problem" book as I really enjoy spotting the points needed to be clarified through solving problems. So, any suggestions?

I used a question book by Guyton for my undergrad. They claim to be on the same pattern as Step 1 exam. But I'm not so sure about it.
Have you tried PreTest or even better the physio from Kaplan Qbook (although you might want to save the Kaplan one for the later reads). All the best!

me too new here and it's like such a positive and helpful environment no matter how rubbish (but serious) your questions in maturity for USMLE. Bdw, there is one thing i experienced: it is better (esp us newbies) to search what one is looking for before posting a query.. I was amazed to see how many of our queries were already asked and so well answered.. Good luck..

Physiology is so vast that there is no dearth to details. But as far as USMLE is concerned, Kaplan physio with video is more than enough n especially if you are planning to ad Goljan Path too because lot of concepts will be made clear by that book. Anything moe than that would be a wastage of time acc to me.
