Okay done with qs, starting day 14, 1st video...GI system...I actually like GI, so it shouldn't be daunting.

i'd like some advice guys

Since i have about another month left till my exam, I'm planning on doing DIT another time right before my exam.

Knowing it took me a little over a month to do it the first time, how much time do you think i should fairly schedule for it the second time? Is 15 days too little?

15 days is enough for 2nd time DIT, today is my 18th day since I started doing ( I took 2 days off of course) and I am finishing it today. Its just that towards the end, its gets really mentally taxing. 2nd time will go faster than the first & do it towards the end so everthing is in your head fresh.

okay so ends my journey with DIT. I started on april 6th & finished it today 23rd, took 2 days off. Most of days did 3 lectures/day.

Here's my 2 cents:

1.Read FA each chapter before doing the correspondig DIT lecture, that way you won't pause too much, will understand better, retain more and will do it faster.

2. Each lecture is on an average 1.30 or 1.45 hours long, after doing half the lecture i.e 45 mins....take a 5-10 min break( I would go grab a snack, do sit ups, walk, check my e-mail quickly, or make a quick phone call) & then come back & finish the rest of the lecture. This way you wont get overwhelmed & will feel refreshed to finish the lecture.

3. At the end of each lecture, there's a quiz, pause it & do it yourself honestly & see how much u could retain it & unpause & finish the quiz with him- will be like double revision.

4. In the first few days, your enthusiasm will be high but as you keep adding more lecture to your mental bank....you will get exhausted, dont give up, take a half day off, do something to charge you up but keep going & finish the lectures.

5. If you can, do a block of random mixed qs ,I couldn't do many ( did aroun 25 qs), if you do more qs + 3 lectures/day...more power to you.

6.Log or document your progress in a diary or on a forum like this, trust me, it helps to keep going & make a steady progress.

7. Be positive & believe in yourself.

Good luck to all of you my friends on getting a great score. I'm going to be busy now revising FA, doing nbme, UW & goljan. Lot of studying ahead, am going to take a day off, get charged up & hit the books. Adios.

Congrats on finishing up DIT! You really stuck it out and strictly followed your plan. Good for you!

Thanks for all the advice. Gonna be starting DIT May 1st after taking a pre-DIT NBME to see where I stand and then take another NBME post-DIT.

Keep us updated with your studying! Good luck to you!
