Default Kaplan USMLE Step 1 2010 Videos VS. Kaplan Classroom Anywhere 2014 videos?

Hey guys,

Just wanted some input on this - do the Kaplan Classroom Anywhere 2014 videos (the ones where the lecturer is at the top corner and the slides are in the middle all the time) provide any advantage over the Kaplan USMLE Step 1 2010 vidoes (where the lecturer is usually infront of a green background the screen keeps shifting from the lecturer to the slide)? Which one is better?

The thing is I have already started preparing with the 2010 videos and 1/3rd done with my prep so I did not wat to shift to 2014 videos at this stage. Plus the audio and video quality of the few 2014 ones that I have aren't good especially compared to the 2010 ones. But a senior recommended that I use the latest one so I am confused now Would I be at a disadvantage if I don't use the 2014 videos or am I just fine with 2010 videos?

As I'm moving ahead with my prep, any prompt response will be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The same question goes through my mind. I just started preparation, using Kaplan 2010 lectures. But aren't they too old?
Hopefully someone replies.
Thank you guys in advance

Depends on the subject
Physio 2014>>2010
Patho 2014>>2010
Pharma 2010>2014
Micro 2010=2014
Immuno 2010=2014
Anatomy Gross 2010>2014
Neuroanatomy 2014>2010
Biochem 2010=2014
Behavioral and Biostats 2010>>2014 (though 2010 based on DSM 4 the lectures are much better)

Overall do not waste alot of time on videos except if u are seiously deficient in the subjects . The parts I think videos are necessary is maybe genetics , the dna part of biochem ANS in pharma . The rest of step 1 can be done only reading books . I will recommend trying to finish the whole books in 2 months and dive to uworld and first aid cuz spending more than two months on kaplan books u ll start forgetting the stuff u studied in the start and with videos it will be hard to finish it that way . In my experience one hour of reading books gives much more knowledge than watching an hour of video.
