Help This time I need to be careful

Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and even to a lot of info regarding the USMLE. But ironically i have already given my step 2 ck without much knowledge abt the way the exams work, uworld, kaplan qb etc.

Managed to pass with a very low score of 209. I am getting mixed opinions from everyone as some say there is not much chance with such a low score and some say i can still give it a try.

I do not have much info abt how this whole process works. I would like to know how long it usually takes to prepare for step 1 and what score wud i need to be on safer side with a step 2 ck score of 209. Also i heard scores are not everything. In that case wat else shud i do to secure my chances of an internal med residency position?

I am an Indian graduate with a canadian PR status. And really confused.
Pls help.

Default hello

regarding studying materials do kaplan it is known because it has worked. Also there is the section (recommended threads) for step 1 if u feel like wanting to use other materials .
2ndly u might want to have a study partner, u can help each other & encourage each other.
i don't have any idea regrding if u have a chance or not but if u worked hard & did great in your career life , i mean u can build a name for yourself with your hard work.
I think this is the way u should think of your situation.
Good luck
