Default Help can this be done?

Hi, thank you for taking to the time to read this.

I have been studying for the step 1 on and off for 3 years. I have gone through multiple horrible situations with family stuff going on or my personal health...etc I have been fighting depression and anxiety. I really am working hard to get on track and complete the step 1. But my main concern is with the 3 year gap for taking the step1, will i have a shot at getting a good residency as an IMG?

If there is someone that can shine a light on this for me that would be great!

Hero, yes it can be done .
And easily too . Most who do Step 1 come to it after some years following basic science subjects.Your clinical experience will be helpful as well . Quite importantly too.

Take the fluoxetine. If still anxious add propranolol 10 mg od and if needed bd.
Talk to a dr first and then if he agrees use above advice. ( i carry no liability)

If you want to go do residency in the US now is a good time. Your age or time lapse is not the criteria.
The criteria is I want to read and pass . And I like the Nike logo - Just do it.

Good luck.
