Help Which NBME should I take 1st?

Hi,
I am almost 50% done with my prep. I will give Step in Aug last week or early Sep. I plan to start taking my NBME soon maybe mid june after finishing my FA.

Can someone advise what order I should take the NBME and when would it be ideal to do so?

Advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks.

take your first nbme after your 1st read through; i'd recommend nbme form 5

save 12, 11, 13, 7 for last (in that order).

do all online.

What do you think about NBME 6?

If I remember correctly, that was the NBME you took before your DIT right? You don't recommend doing NBME 6? I was going to take it on Sunday.

i think nbme 5 is "easier"
although keep in mind all nbmes are normalized so regardless of their difficulty, the 3digit score they assign you will be consistent.

nbme 6 and 3 are a bit trickier than 5 in that there are some questions that are really detailed random facts. Then again, maybe i just wasnt that prepared back then so they seemed like random facts to me back then lol.

regardless of which you take, theyre all normalized.

i just recommend 5 as the first nbme to take because its not that frustrating or confidence-breaking an nbme in terms of the way the questions are written.
