smoking and lung damage
So pretty much the only questions I'm missing in respiratory have to do with smoking and lung damage and it's beyond frustrating. I know everything in first aid/pathoma - centriacinar, upper lobes, Neuts and macs releasing proteases (mainly elastase), etc.
But can someone point me in the direction of what we're supposed to know about smoke damage? Or give me the facts straight? Like what area of the lung is most prone to damage (seems like I've seen multiple questions with contradicting answers - term bronchs, resp bronchs), macrophage activity (again, I've had questions where it's been increased or decreased), etc. These questions are just getting very annoying.
