USMLE Books Kaplan Microbiology or CMMRS

Hi everyone,

I have a question if anyone can help please, I haven't started microbiology yet, I have 2006 edition of Kaplan Lecture Notes. When I checked the poll for the best microbiology book it shows a little higher percentage in the favor of clinical microbiology made ridiculously simple!!
They just released a new version of it!! Do u think is worth it to get this book since i haven't touched my Kaplan notes?? And do u think if I get , is it going to be enough by itself???
Please if anyone has an answer about my concern?

Thank you...

hey,
whatever written in FA is more than enough for micro.....FA has covered micro so well that u don't need anything and when u do UW along with it , u ace the micro......so if u still need something to do micro, read KLN for micro...its best .....

FA FA FA !! AND A LOT OF QUESTIONS FOR MICRO !!
You can use kaplan book or videos to understand basics for each section..
and for bacterial genetics i think you can watch kaplan videos or read that chapter from the book…

Kaplan for micro is great...i wouldn't just dive into first aid without getting some basic concepts from kaplan....but yea first aid is great to solidify the info and has everything there
