Kaplan Medical Kaplan USMLE diagnostic test

hi every one,

I'm into the prep past 2 months.

I took 1st kap diagnostic test before my prep which was 45%

Then I gave 1st read of behaviral science, immuno, genetics, pharmacology, goljan pathology 11 chaps, Physio till section 6, musculoskeletal, embryology,

Then I again took 2nd Kap diagnostic test today which was 59% micro, biochem are my bad..

I have not done neuroanatomy, microbiology and bichemistry yet.. I want to take step 1 in September at any cost!! haven't scheduled it though..

Study Plan:
1)2 wks- To finish fast reading of 1st read in 2weeks!! Though it may sound ridiculous, but I want this 1st reading to be over.. I feel stuck
2)June 3rd and 4th wk: go over First aid and 2nd read kaplan +goljan
3)July and august: UW +FA
4)1st week of sep:1st NBME in .
5)step1 by last week of sep

This is a gross plan..Now, I want this 1st read to be over
I have Offline 2007 UW which I go over some times and Kaplan Video downloads too. Any suggestion How can I Include these in my study schedule?

Any comments and suggestions are welcome!!

How on earth are you going to finish Neuroanat, Bchem & Micro in 2 weeks?
If you are fed up of studying, take full weekend off, then come back and restart with fresh mind. I've done ~500 ques in Qbanks now & these are subjects that feature majorly (apart from path) on them so don't screw with them.

My suggestion, start with your schedule and based on your experience keep modifying it to reflect reality. Someone on this forum advised very rightly, don't plan ahead more than 1 week at a time. I can vouch by it from my own trials and errors.

As for the Kap Diagnostics, I took them twice in the middle of and towards the end of the prep & got similar scores both times. However, it looked like all the questions were same both times. Can't read much into those. When you are done with your prep, take an NBME and see where you stand.

Good luck!

yeah that wont be feasible.. If I aim to finish in 2wk at least my reading will go fast.. I'm going to give fast read and go through them again..

Thank you!

Hello
if you look here in these forums and even on Youtube , most of them said you need to study Kaplan"s books once and then focus on First aid , if you can repeat it as much as you can do it
59% of kaplan q bank cumulative test is good , but kaplan has many low yield material , so try to focus on uworld ..
