Question All, cll, aml, cml

HI
I am confused about how to diffrentiate these 4 types of leukemia on smear (ALL, CLL, AML, CML )
iknow how to diffrentiate , AML FROM ALL
but when it comes to AML and CML i find it hard
i dont know what to look for in CML
also
lymphoblast and lymphocytes look similar so it is hard to differentiate it on blood smear
can anyone help me with that ???

what I am asking is only through blood smear , I know the case may give us keys as the ageof patient , or other thinks , but if we have to diffrentiate only depending on blood smear ?????

Step 1 does not expect u to be hematologist, so they would give u all the necessary clues in the stem.

Some crude things that can be noticed on the image are - Auer rods or maybe "smashed" smudgy apperiance of lymphocytes.

Thats the only thing they would make a point of

Default Explanation: Bracket Age

Always look for the patient age and you won't be confused:

ALL between 0-15 year

AML between 15-30 years

AML & CML between 30-40 years, the difference will be in myeloid blast: AML is major than 30%

CML between 40-59 years increased in neutrophil & the famous BCR-ABL mRNA fusion protein

CLL between 60-70 years

Hairy cell leukemia major than 70 years

If I wrong in something let me know and I believe that information will be help the forum and you to deal with this problem
