Planning Schedule For USMLE Step1

Hi I'm new here. I am an IMG and need to make a schedule to study for Step1, I have 3 and a half days in each week to study and I haven't studied basic science for some time...could you give me suggestions? any experience with that? I was thinking of doing it in 8 months...I'd appreciate if you help...

How many hour can you put in per day? 3 1/2 days/week means half a week. too vague.

I'm off for 3 and a half days, I will have to study 8-10 hours a day probably to keep up with an 8 months plan! isn't it like that?

It's not about how many hours you have to study but how many hours you can study. If you are average fresh grad/ student you may not need more than 6 hrs a day for 8months.
What are the materials you plan to use?

I am almost fresh although I haven't been focused on basic science;
And about the material, I have decided kaplan LN with dvds but I have bought BRS physio,microbioligy made rediculously simple,patho Rapid Review and I have decided kaplan qbook and first aid for usmle step1;I probably will use these for the subject instead of LN,not sure if its logical to study both,is it?I wont have the time. I've heard about uworld qbank, I donnow
when or how to subscribe for it but think its essential, do u think these are good choices? Btw whats ur idea about the order of subjects to be studied? Thank you for ur help I appreciate it

That's a lot to cover. You may chuck Kaplan Qbook, it is useless. Instead you may take Kaplan Qbank & do it subject wise.
It will be a good idea to do FA with your Qbanks.
UWorld is a really good Qbank. Do it after you finish your 1st read & KBank. Finish it before your exams. You can get it from their website www.usmleworld.com
I can't comment on MMRS or BRS coz I never took them but the general Idea is that they are good.
For path HY I have no idea but Goljan or Pathoma would be a good choice now since you are beginning & Path has maximum number of Questions.
About the order of subjects usually Anat & Micro are done last coz there isn't much concept, only lot of mugging up.
Decide your final schedule based on these & modify it according to the time you are actually taking to finish things.
Good luck! We are here if you need help.

The only way IMGs can give USMLE I know of is through ECFMG. Maybe one of the forum staff would know better.
Good luck!
