USMLE Scores Step 1 score 244/86

Got my step 1 score today..244/86...i am really confused about the 2 digit score i have got...till now what i have heard from my friends and seniors is that any triple digit score above 240 is a sure shot 99 on the 2 digit scale...and i know people who have got triple digit 230 with a 2 digit score of 99....so how can i get a triple digit score of 244 with an 86 on double digit scale???...does it mean i have got a really low score???...
do share your opinions.. also kindly share , if you know anyone else who has got such disparity in the triple digit and double digit scores and whether it makes the chances of getting matched worse?...

it means you need to read usmle.org more and understand the test you are studying for.

That was the old two digit score. Now only the three digit score matters. This two digit score is not the same as the old two digit score. This would not be sent to program directors. You have a really awesome score! Be happy!

eesfee thank you for your reply...i am aware of the fact that the two digit score is now being scrapped..but i read that some state medical boards still want it as they just look for the 75 as the passing score....i know that two digit scores would lose its significance down the line ..but i thought since the two digit score is derived from the three digit score so the relationship between the two wouldnt change much...i was expecting a 244 to be atleast above 90 ..anyway i guess they have really changed the scoring pattern ..shouldnt lose hope...

Dr.NickRiviera...Thanks a lot for replying...and i have read usmle.org before and know that two digit scoring system is not going to be reported anymore...what i was curious about was that i have never heard anyone getting a triple digit above 240 and not getting 99 on double digit....so i was wondering whether its happening with everyone ...or is there anyone still ,who got a 99 with that kind of score...or is it that no one is getting 99 anymore..
