Immunology Complement Membrane Attack Complex!

Hi,

im sure we wont need to go into so much detail for the exam but im confused about a certain piece of information.

MAC complex from the complement system is c5-c9. And a deficiency of it would lead to increased risk for nisseria infections.

Kaplan states: its c5-c8
pathoma: c5-c9
falcon:c5-c8

ahhhh help!

I've never heard of it being C8.

Its always C5b to C9....at least for the step 1 anyways.
