Unhappy The whole world is going against you!

i m just if its just me or it happens to everyone. Do u feel like everything is going wrong and the whole world's goin against u at such a crucial point in ur life?
i dont mean to sound crazy but the "studying and not knowing anything/foegttting everything" is there in the first place. but then u seem to be having all these aches n pains everywhere! u get a cold every other week? your boyfriend/girlfriend starts acting like an @$$ for no reason when they should actually be supporting you? and then your parents think u hv lost ur mind because u've been studying for the past 6 months and u still think ur not ready to take the exam?? Ur relatives/neighbours think ur so anti-social coz u never join them for their parties n all??
Not to mention you being stressed out all the time because u feel like ur forgetting everything! N then all u can say is FML!!
Is it just me or does it happen to u guys too??

there's no such thing as good or bad luck.
the universe is occuring regardless of how you perceive it.
its the way you perceive its events that dictate your mood.

don't forget that you are in good health, you have a family, you have support, you have food and shelter, you have this opportunity to do something great, the opportunity to become a doctor (something that not everyone has, even if they have the capability).

Life doesn't feel sorry for you,
So you shouldn't either.

The successful make good of whatever life throws at them.
The weak feel sorry for themselves.

You're better than this.
Get your mind right and you'll be successful.

u r better than many others
for eg me
no one to talk to because i live in different country and i told my friends i will disappear for 6 months
so all i have is only me and my books and the library
when u leave everything and u start chasing a dream that sometimes u think it is a night mare
like me
u end so alone and trying to stay positive every day by looking to mirror and saying ( iam strong iam fighter i can do it i can pass the exams i will be better in time i will keep staying positive i have to be patient this is my last exam then i will have my fredom and i will have social life
i know usmle is lonely trip but believe in ur self is imp

i hope this is helpful

I'm doing the same thing as Ms Patho. Next month I'm leaving the country with no friends and family for 4 months to study and do the exam.

As Conrad Fischer says, don't feel upset. Get angry. If you're depressed, you are not productive. If you're angry, you can focus than anger at studying.

well what to say??? all I was praying for is NOT to have any issues to deal with until exam. I don't my having to study and sit for the exam just please please let me study for god's sake...Than comes: my father gets into hospital like 2 weeks ago..big problem..than my son gets an awful diarrhea which is really exhausting him now and I am afraid to have to go with him to the hospital.. than, some issues with the flat, it seems we will have to move soon. So, I have to organize the new flat and new kindergarten for my daughter..than, my husband gets some bad news and start to have dilemmas about quitting his job..all this in the last week!! I have my exam in 10 days...
anyway, it's good to know that this is a general phenomenon that things just collapse around you as you approach the big day..

Sorry for sounding a little sadist but I'm happy other people are having problems too! I am pursuing a full time medical degree, a part time masters degree and studying for Step 1. Also I am an editor at a medical journal and I am involved in like a hundred research projects which is making me go crazy. And then there are these power outages! I'm just so exhausted and I seriously need a break
