Embarrassed Doing NBME before finishing reviews!

my exam is on 19th...and i have planned to take nbme 11 on 5th june. The thing that has been bugging me is that according to my study plans i wont be able to revise microbiology and anatomy(except neuroanat) by 5th. The last time i did these was 1.5 month back. So, i've practically forgotten most of it specially gross anatomy and embryo.

What do I do now. If i take nbme on 5th i will be bound to score less which i fear or shall i take it all at once starting from 10th will full fledged revision done???
even if i do nbme on 5th ....what score shall i expect considering my situation and my target score being 230+ in original exam??

imo it would be better for you to cover micro and gross anatomy before nbme. mistakes in micro and anatomy can lower your score. i think you should revise them from FA in 2-3 days and take NBME on 8'th. so you will have complete 10 days before exam to work on your weak areas according to nbme.

Better do an NBME asap, and then another one after ur micro and anat review.. do NBME 13 after ur review. If you get close to or more than the score u want then you're probably good to go. If not, you need to think carefully about when to take this exam.

Goodluck

OK guys...i am gonna give nbme 11 on 5th june without reviewing micro and anat. Lets see what happens.

One more thing i have to ask.... what do u guys suggest for embryo. I mean i was analyzing my u world today which is nearly completed.....i suck at gross anat and embryo (at 59 and 64 percentile respectively in both of them, while m on 81st percentile as whole).....m doing gross from road map as i found kaplan very insufficient.....
what to do for embryo....is FA enough??? I dont want to give much time on embryo....i have read high yield embryo one time two month back...is embro that important that i read it again thoroughly??? my friend took the exam on 21st may and he said he didn get any question at all from anat and embro..

That looks a great score...I think now you are ready for the exam... Just see which areas are you weak in, and revise those in the remaining days and you will be fine.Good Luck

All NBME's are normalized, no matter if it's an "easy" one or "hard" one, it will give you almost the same score.

I think it's safe to say that you are at 238 (+/- 5) at this level in your prep.
Do a final reading, while focusing on your weaknesses and go for the exam.
Hopefully you'll break the 240 threshold.

Good luck
