A jump in your scores from 205/215 to 230/240, in 10 days, is possible.

However, to be honest, very hard.

Do a final read, while focusing on your weak areas. In addition to doing some questions. After that, do another NBME.

An NBME, a week before your exam is usually very predictive of your actual score. So if your last NBME score is not in your target range, then postpone your exam.

P.S. Doing DIT might help you with a jump in your score, but it takes at least 15 days to go through.

Forget about p.s. it isnt important.

DIT, doctors in training:
a series of videos, a review course, that covers FA cover to cover.
It's used as a final step in one's prep. Something to cement everything you already know.
It has shown to improve scores drastically (if your main studying source is FA).

Like i said, NBME's are very predictive. So dont take your step 1 unless you reach your target score with an NBME.

i didnt advise you to do DIT right now, i just thought you should know there is a review course out there that alot of people are using.

Obviously you dont have enough time for DIT, so all you can do is go through FA and then give an NBME to see if you're near your target score.

If you are not happy with your NBME score, then postpone your exam for whatever time you think you'll need to raise your score. Then you can do DIT or whatever you see necessary.

As a side note, DIT usually takes AT LEAST 15 days to complete.
Most of the people i've seen do it in 3-4 weeks.

If you're short on cash, you can download the offline version from the internet if you want (everyone i know has).

I would advise you to postpone. Work on your weak areas, get the DIT course (You can finish it before 30 days if you fast forward the videos and stuff). Because in the end, if God-forbid you get a low score, you will regret rushing through the exam

Congrats, amazing score.

Reading this thread right now motivated me alot.

I would love to read a thread about your prep and experience.

Could you remind us of your NBME scores (with their timing in relation to the exam) and what you did in between.

Good luck with your future steps

thank u

nbme exams helped me alot,,
though i scored little low in nbme,,i mainly concentrated in my weak areas after giving nbme exam

my scores in nbme
1st nbme-203 15 days before exam
2nd-214 1o days before
3rd-224 8 days before

final step 1 score--244

between each exam i mainly concentrated on my weak areas nd that helped 2 raise my score,, in evry exam my main drawback was in behavioural science,,so i suggest u 2 concentrate in that subject
