Default Rescheduling your Step 1 exam 2 hours before the exam!

Hi guys,

My exam was supposed to be 2 days ago, I woke up in the morning I was so sick ( Fever, vomiting, diarrhea...) So I decided to reschedule my exam. According to my international zone, if I reschedule in 5 days before the exam I should pay 252$. However, when I rescheduled my exam online to the next week I had to pay only 104$. I called prometric and they told me that everything is ok and my exam is assigned and confirmed. I didn't mention anything about the fees when I called prometric cause I didn't know that it is supposed to be 252$ when I called .

Any Ideas?? Should I call them again and tell them about that?

Thank you

Default Hey

I think the rescheduling fee that applies is the one which was set when you applied for the exam i.e. you made the payment for the very first time. So you may have scheduled your exam before they increased the fee.
Anyways unless you have got money to blow, just keep quiet.

Thanks for your reply.
The fees went up starting 1st of January 2011. I registered for my exam late March 2012, so I dont think that's why I'm paying less. I'm just afraid that something would go wrong on the day of the exam.

Thank you
