Default I am done with Pathology(almost), Physio, and A little Pharma!!! What Now???

Hi,

I am an old 2006 IMG , and have started studying for step 1, a couple of months ago...I am done with almost all of the Goljan RR, Physiology except for a few topics.I have started Pharma now.But looks like I need to do Micro before doing the Antimicrobial agents...Keep in mind that my basics are very weak and I am an average student. Then I realized that I am gaining more knowledge from UWorld Q bank and its explanation...So my question is should I buy Online UWorld Q Bank Subscription for 6 Months and start question from now along with reading Kaplan notes? I also keep on reading FA with Kaplan notes.

My exam is in December (Hopefully) and I can afford the 6 month subscription .

Default Hey

Sounds like a good plan. An additional advantage of buying UWorld for 6 months is that you can reset your score meaning when you are done with the QBank once, you can start all over again. Its just like buying a new subscription. If you can afford it, go for it.
But also make sure that towards the end of your preparation, you do new questions which you have never done before. Like some other QBank, NBME, UWSA etc. This is because when you will do UWorld for the second time, your scores will be much higher and this may give you a false sense of confidence before going into the exam.
Good Luck.

Thank you very much for your honest Advice...So I will just subscribe for the 6 months and then it will expire just a month before the exam and then I can read just FA and other high yield stuff...And you are right , I will definitely do a couple of NBMEs and UWSAs before the exam...Thanks Once again.

Yes You are right too...I am gonna continue reading Kaplan Notes and also watching DVDs....I just do a random block from different subjects,at the end of the day...Even if I get a few right, keeps me motivated and going...I give it like 10% of my daily study schedule...

Right now I am doing the offline UWorld Qbank, But that doesn't show my score and percentage obviously...So was wondering why not, do it online and get a feedback and then restart it after I am done with the reading, and do it once again with knowledge...and If I still needed it till exam , I will just extend my subscription for another month.

How does that sound??

If the offline uworld is recent why waste money on online version????
Uworld is a learning tool and not access your score.maybe u should subscribe later

I have the 2010 and I think that should work for now....Ok I will wait...Use the offline one to gain knowledge and then take a 3 months subscription before the exam...Thanks for your help.

When I started my preps, I only knew parts of Body in medical terms, today I know quite a few things Including cAMP, Digoxin, Bethanechol, Miosis, Glaucoma...lol...Man I had forgotten so many things...Unfortunately wasted so much time. But i think its about time.Hopefully I will make it.
