Listening Advice about my upcoming Step 1 Prep plan

I have 3 "DIT days" left.
Going to do them in 4 days, and then go over a few stuff for another 3 days, and take an NBME.

So the plan is to take an NBME after a week.

10 weeks ago i took NBME 12 and got 165
5 weeks ago i took NBME 5 and got 205
Which NBME do you guys recommend i take now?

During the past 5 weeks I've been doing DIT second pass, finished off UW, and redoing a little UW 2nd pass (marked/incorrect) whenever i get the chance.

I'm hoping this will be my last NBME (unless it's extremely far from my target score which is 230+), because I'm totally burnt out and i just want to end this. It's been 11 months!

So if i get 220+, I'm scheduling the exam in 2 weeks after my next NBME.

In addition to the recommended final NBME, plz advise whatever you see necessary or fit.
Thnx everyone, you guys have really helped me alot during this long bumpy road

It's good everyone's studying alot, but don't disappear on me like that!
HEEEELLLPPPPPPPPPP!

-What do you guys think my next (and maybe final) NBME should be?
-And if i do good on this NBME, what should my plan be for the 2 weeks leading up to the exam? (other than FA ofcourse )

Hey buddy,

Your plan sounds good. I think you should do NBME 11,13 and 7 (in that order).
Take NBME 11 next and if you score well then book your exam for 2 weeks after.
Then just go over FA, list of forgettables, do questions and then take NBME 7 for sure in those 2 weeks even if you don't want to do NBME 13. Although I've heard that NBME 13 is good coz its the newest one! I think you should be good now! You've definitely improved A LOT!

Other than that I don't know what else to do in those 2 weeks. I have that dilemma myself. I started doing DIT but after doing 5 days I feel like it's not helping me much. What do you suggest? (I will post what my plan is for this last week before exam) in a thread and you can give me ideas there

Ooops! Sorry, I didn't see your thread earlier.

- Yep, like H2P said, nbme 11, 13, then, 7.

- Before you do your next nbme, think of all the weak areas you have and go through them first. Once you've scheduled your exam, you won't have the free time to go over those topics bec. your schedule will be fixed. Those topics may seem to take only a few hours to study but may take longer. With a weak topic, you'll never know. That's why work on them first before you schedule.

- Read FA + notes, then, take the nbme. Gauge how much time it takes you to go over FA + notes. Use that time frame (i.e. ~2 weeks) as a guide when planning your last FA run before the exam.

- Getting near burned-out is bad. I agree that you shouldn't prolong your prep any further. But if you decide to give it a little more time, system wise questions + FA is also a good way to improve.

- I'm sure you'll ace your next nbme! Good luck!

Thnx for the reply guys.

NBME 11 it is!

If I do good on the next NBME, then i'll schedule the exam 2 weeks later, and go over FA+UW notes as much as possible and go for the exam.

If i dont do good then i'll need more time. I'll go over FA while concentrating on my weak areas, and after finishing that weak area from FA i'll do the corresponding UW questions.

The cut-off score i should get for scheduling my exam: 220.
My target score for the real thing: 230

Good luck to all of you, we're almost done!
