Default need some advice

hello guys, i'm an IMG, graduation year 2014 and i just pass my USMLE recently. well, i have to say i'm not very pleased. i only got 201 on my first attempt. i have read a few story in this forum and most people got 240+. congrats to all of you.

i'm interested in internal medicine.
is there any way how to make up for my low score???
or maybe i should pick another specialty???
or is there any country that accepted USMLE???
since i haven't set foot in US and i don't know anyone in US. i need to make good use of my time and money. USMLE and prep cost me a lot of money so i really need good strategy here.
thank you for all of your suggestion.

The NBME offers self assessment forms that most people take before they appear for the actual examination. How do you not know this? If you spent so much on your preparation for the USMLE then it would have made sense for you to do some research before you went in for the exam.

Thumbs Up

I know someone who got a low score recently, so they enrolled in an MPH course in the US.
I'm not sure how much MPH helps, I would expect that this would cost you tuition fees, and related hidden expenses.
You could also look into a research job, get a bunch of papers published. Again, this would also cost you in hidden expenses like food, housing etc.
Don't take my word for it, these are just options.
I wouldn't want to give up after going through the pain of giving a step-exam.
