Default The never ending war with biostatistics, and im losing, help!

Well as you saw, the fight against biostat looks bad for me. i have been understanding and memorizing the stuff in kaplan videos and FA, but i am still am not able to nail the UW questions, they have some stuff there that i have never seen before, and although it looked promising in the beginning now i have 65% in that, anyone knows how to turn this fight to my favor?
I am really afraid from bio-statistics in the exam , how should i handle it?

Hey .. same situ here ...

Did kaplan + FA ... did all my best and scored in uw only 65 % ... there are some questions that can be attributed as MindF***...
many of exam takers state that biostats almost always requires the basic calculations and understanding. e.g. sensitivity, specificity and these stuff.
in uw there are many confusing Bias. i'm not going to dedicate more for biostats just concentrating on FA, which i annotated from kln. and will hope that this will suffice. gl

biostats in uworld s very tricky...even for simple answer i consume nearly 2 min

I am in the same boat as u guys..
But try going over the biostats part in DIT they make u memorize the formulas and do some practice questions.
And do the biostats question in the uworld website (i think its $25) if u haven't done that yet.

I have heard about those, do they actually worth the money and time?

You know maybe it's sounds like a small conspiracy but, is it possible by any chance that UW is actually trying to stress us out from their questions in the qBank so we will buy that additional feature?
I mean there is no problem with the standard deviation or epidemiology questions. the man problem with them is the "BIAS" questions they are just horrible.

I still have some questions left in uworld qbank so I didn't do that yet. But if I still have problems with it I might consider it just to get more practice. Because biostats has been one of my weakest areas in behavioural.
