If a patient with cystic fibrosis were to be treated by gene therapy, which type of cells should be targeted as host cells?

a) germ cells
b) epithelial cells
c) T cells
d) hemopoietic stem cells

just a simple question for a start today

B it is , but will depend on location of epithelial too and Ofcourse the type.

Default Hahaha...bit bad in explaining but can try

Actually CF is caused due to mutation of gene that codes for CFTR protein. Which is present in any epithelial cell eg- skin or lungs alveolar epith. This regulates the movement of Cl and Na across epithelial memb.
So in gene therphy we try to transfer CFTR gene into affected epithilium.
Hope you would be able to understand my feelings regarding cystic fibrosis
